When you have something true and precious to offer, AI might not be the companion you’d rely on for communicating your value to the world.

An AI is not built to truly understand who we are, who we want to be. An AI does not have enough power to unfold our dreams, to explain our values, helping us to stand out.

We asked ourselves how we could lay the foundation of what we wanted to build. Umns can be a great source of creativity, and this is a value that cannot be overstated. So, what if the core of the content remains umn, and the run-of-the-mill content is maybe generated by an AI, guided by the umn-created framework? Thus AI becomes an amplifier rather than a creative agent.

Because we like minimal things. Also because we don’t have an identity yet. We’re working with young, brilliant minds to find the perfect visual identity for us, and that takes time. So for now we’re keeping it simple. Basic, if you will.

So you won’t use AI at all?

We won’t use AI to create content. We might use AI for the very boring stuff, because we want to keep the fun for umns. So yeah: no AI for writing, conceptualizing, crafting, or designing.

You won’t be fast. Or cheap.

That’s not really a question, to be fair. We focus on core, high-value content, not fast content. Definitely not the kind AI can spit out in a few seconds. We’re not competing with LLMs. So it really depends on what you need.
